What to Expect During the Mortgage Process
First Contact
Our initial conversation will allow me to pre-qualify you for a loan and set realistic expectations so you know what to expect moving forward with the loan
Starting the Loan Application
At this stage, I will gather all your information as it relates to the loan you are trying to qualify for.
Documents
Income & asset documentation will allow for a smooth and quick underwriting process
Loan pre-qualification
This part requires you to answer questions about your assets, income, credit, and the home you are wanting to buy. This will allow me to let you know what you can afford and the monthly payments you can expect
Locate a Home
This is the fun part! Finding the perfect home for you and your family that fits within your budget. Once you have found the perfect home and the seller accepts the offer. We’ll order an appraisal and start processing your loan.
Final Approval
This is where the underwriter reviews the appraisal and the financial documents you submitted to confirm all conditions of the loan have been met.
Final Walk through
Take a final walk-through of the new property to insure no repairs need to be made. If repairs are needed we will make sure they are taken care of.
Closing Day
This is the day you have been waiting for. At this point in the loan, you would have received a Closing Disclosure three days prior, which summarizes your loan details. If everything were in good order on the Closing Disclosure, you would attend the closing meeting on this day. This day entails paying for the closing costs and the down payment. Lastly, you’ll sign your mortgage loan.
